Intake and exhaust, or neither works
An attic needs air to enter low at the soffits and leave high at the roof. When the soffits are blocked or the baffles are missing, adding exhaust moves very little outdoor air, and can pull conditioned air out of the house instead. Intake and exhaust are assessed together, and the achievable result depends on how much space the roof actually has at the eaves.

Do more roof vents fix a hot attic?
